Washer-extractor

A commercial washer designed to extract substantial water before drying.

Hard-mount washer

A washer requiring anchoring to a suitable structural foundation.

Soft-mount washer

A suspended washer designed to transmit less force to the floor.

Turns per day

Average paid cycles completed by a laundromat machine each day.

Ozone laundry

A system using ozone as part of a controlled laundry process.

Make-up air

Air supplied to replace air removed by dryer exhaust.

Route operator

A provider that installs or operates laundry equipment under a revenue or service agreement.

Water factor

An efficiency measure relating water use to washer capacity.

Extract force

The centrifugal force used to remove water during the spin phase.

Lifecycle cost

Capital, utility, maintenance, downtime and replacement costs considered together.
